[gpfsug-discuss] Running mmcheckquota on a file system with 1.3B files

I want to run mmcheckquota on a file system I have on my ESS. It has 1.3B files. Obviously it will take a long time, but I’m looking for anyone who has guidance running this command on a large file system, what I should expect for IO load.

- Should I set QOS to minimize impact?
- Run directly on the ESS IO nodes, or some other nodes?
